This page will show you how to connect to a VPN by using MFA(Multi-Factor Authentication).


What is VPN(Virtual Private Network)?

A virtual private network (VPN) extends a private network across a public network and enables users to send and receive data across shared
or public networks as if their computing devices were directly connected to the private network.
HTC utilizes MFA as a second form of security identity verification when connecting to VPN.


When do you need to use VPN?

When trying to gain access to company intranet applications and your devices/laptop is not connected to the HTC internal network.
VPN connection is required in order to access any HTC internal sites, such as EAW, E-Agreement, MFS, ithelps.htc.com, etc.


How to connect to VPN? (MFA must be set up prior to connecting to VPN)

User Manual


  1. Download VPN Tool (Ivanti Secure VPN)

    • Windows OS: Go to Share Point web site to download VPN Client Application. (PulseSecure.x64.msi or PulseSecure.x32.msi) Download
    • MacOS: Open HTC Self Service in the LauchPad or Application.
    • Android: Ivanti Secure Access Client on Google Play
    • iOS: Ivanti Secure Access Client on App Store


  2. Complete the following:


    a. Name – enter a descriptive name for VPN profile.
    b. Server URL – enter the specific URL https://securetp.htc.com/azure


  3. Connect VPN


    Enter your AD account as User Name & password of E-mail as Password
